My address to the club members and guests at the reception for Poetry in Motion II. Also a few words for those members who could not be there.
I thank you all for being here today.
Goodnight that is all I have to say.

What a day it’s been, a real ball.

The members of this club are outstanding.

It’s almost become a new club sport.
Four hundred and fifty of my books were sold here
I’m told it’s a record, that’s what I call fair.
My committee led by the man with snowy locks and helped by Nele - his better half.
Deserve a medal for their tenacity and for being so sharp
They are the stars of today who have proved themselves to be real friends.

Our club captain is a Shrek of a man
He helps me in every way he can
He is today my master of ceremonies
For which I only pay him pennies
